Job Description

A steadily growing family-owned company in the southern part of Barrie is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair various types of large construction equipment such as Excavators, Dozers, Rock Trucks and more.

The Ideal Heavy Equipment Mechanic Will Have:

• 4+ years of experience with heavy equipment and machinery.
• Technical training is preferred but not mandatory
• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel systems, Electrical, Aftertreatment issues, and troubleshooting Hydraulic as well as Engine and Drive systems
• Ensure equipment readiness and meet safety standards
• Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts, to ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Make professional recommendations on equipment repair
• Own tools, a valid driver’s license, and a good driving record

Compensation:

• $40.00 - $50.00/hour, based on previous experience/certifications/training

Shift Schedule:

• Day Shift, Monday to Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am – 4:00pm
• Overtime available
